Work

Karen and I dressed up ready for Incredible India day!

Langkawi

Check out the glorious views from the top of the cable car!

Langkawi

Made it to the top - magnificent views of the hills and the coastline.

Langkawi

Aislinn's friend Georgia is terrified of heights; how nice of us to take her up one of the world's steepest cable cars!

Langkawi

How lovely to escape the high rises of Singapore and stretch in some space; here the rice paddies are joined by a scarecrow and indolent water buffalo.

Langkawi

Views of the beach; not a condo in sight!

Singapore Grand Prix

The highlight of the Singapore F1 was surely the plethora of live bands scattered around the racing track.  We enjoyed Seasick Steve, whose beard and home-made guitars ensured a unique rocking performance; Ziggy Marley, with his amazing voice, dreadlocks to die for and energetic band wowed us in an amazing set overlooking the bay and Robbie Williams, who was the consummate professional, despite the torrential monsoon which erupted minutes before he was due to perform.  What a weekend!

Bell of Happiness

Our happiness is secured!

Southern Ridges walk

You can just spot Dave in amongst the greenery of the rainforest.  We spent a pleasant and hot few hours walking along the Southern Ridges, which included the Henderson Wave bridge and this aerial walkway.

Aislinn's birthday

We celebrated Aislinn's 17th birthday with a breakfast brunch at an American Diner in Dempsey.

Ella

Ella and Aislinn.

Sigrid and Gerd's visit

A real treat was our Afternoon Tea at the Shangri La Hotel!

Sigrid and Gerd's visit

The monsoon rains didn't prevent us from enjoying the Botanic Gardens.

Sigird and Gerd's visit

Window shopping with a difference at the exclusive Shoppes at Marina Bay.

Sigrid and Gerd's visit

More cocktails!  This time we took advantage of Happy Hour on the 57th floor of the Swissotel, where the views of the city are breathtaking.

Sigrid and Gerd's visit

A visit to Singapore is not complete without the traditional Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel.

Sigrid and Gerd's visit

What better way to enjoy the start of our second year in Singapore than to share it with our very good friends, Sigrid and Gerd, freshly arrived from Germany and keen to take in the sights.  We began at the Gardens by the Bay, surely Singapore at its best.
